Job description

Aya Locums is seeking a Gastroenterologist for inpatient call coverage in Southeast Arizona. This assignment provides defined 24-hour call shifts, a supportive hospital environment, and the opportunity to perform a broad range of GI procedures at a Level IV Trauma Center.

Assignment Details
• Start date: September 2025
• Contract Length: 3 months
• Coverage type: Call only
• Schedule: 7a–7a call shifts on the following dates:
– 9/29 – 10/1
– 10/6 – 10/13
– 10/20 – 11/03
– 11/08 – 11/10
– 11/24 – 12/01
– 12/06 – 12/08
– 12/15 – 01/05

Case Mix / Work Details
• Patients per shift: 10–20
• Trauma level: IV
• Skills required: Upper GI endoscopy, small bowel biopsy, lower GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy
• EMR: Cerner
• Support staff: Yes

Practice Model

Requirements
• Board Certification: Required
• Fellowship: Required
• License: Active Arizona license only
• DEA: Required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS
