Job description

Position: Gastroenterologist
Schedule: 10 Blocked Days per Month or 5 On/5 Off

Support Staff:
2 Full-time Advanced Practice Providers (APP)
1 MD

Coverage Type:
In-house rounding on inpatients each morning for 5-6 hours.
Stay in-house until 5 PM for potential ER consults.
After 5 PM, call can be taken from a hotel.
Expectation to be called back 3-5 times per week.

Patient Age Group: Adult
Procedures: No advanced procedures. Includes consults, scopes, emergencies, and other standard GI cases/procedures. Upper and lower endoscopies required.

Requirements:
Board Certifications: Required
State License(s): Must have or be eligible for state licensure; consideration given to those eligible under the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)
CSR Required: Yes
DEA Required: Yes
Experience: Minimum of 3 years with a skill set to diagnose and treat all endoscopist-related illnesses and symptoms
Credentialing Timeframe: 90-120 days
