Gastroenterologist - Locum Tenens Opportunity in Georgia

Job description

A hospital-based gastroenterology team is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible physician to join their department for a locum tenens opportunity starting as early as May 2025. This role supports inpatient services and does not require EUS or ERCP procedures.

Position Details:
• Specialty: Gastroenterology (General GI)
• Schedule:
o Monday–Friday: 7-hour day shift with evening call coverage
o Saturday–Sunday: 4-hour day shift with after-hours call
o Rotation: 7 days on / 7 days off
• Support: Join a team of 7 full-time GI providers with APP support
• Setting: Inpatient only, acute care hospital environment
• Patient Volume: TBD
• Procedures: Colonoscopies, EGD, general GI procedures
• Facility Size: 540 beds
• EMR: TBD

Requirements:
• Active GA medical license or eligibility through IMLC
• Board certification in Gastroenterology (or truly board-eligible)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience
• DEA license

Contract Length: Minimum of 3 months, with potential to extend

Start Date: As soon as credentialed
