Gastroenterology Locum – Procedures-Focused | Light Call | August Start | GA

A high-performance medical center in northwest Georgia seeks a skilled Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens assignment starting August 22, 2025. This is an opportunity to focus on high-volume procedures in a modern, state-of-the-art environment—with minimal administrative burden and light call.

Assignment Highlights:
• Start Date: August 22, 2025
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 2:00/3:00 PM
• Call: 1 week/month; typically weeknights only. No night call-ins unless GI bleed.
• Length: 13 weeks (flexible extensions possible)

Scope of Practice:
• Procedures-focused: avg. 13 colonoscopies/day
• Outpatient volume optional (approx. 20 visits/day)
• Clinic + procedural suite model
• Onsite anesthesia; advanced negative pressure rooms
• Outpatient site is ~5-minute drive from procedural center

Support & Setting:
• Join 5 other GIs, supported by APPs and procedural staff
• Flexible to locums preferring procedure-only work
• Privileging in ~60 days with active GA license
• Travel and malpractice covered

Requirements:
• Board Certified/Eligible in Gastroenterology
• GA medical license (or IMLC eligibility)
