Job Description:
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology - Required
• Active IL License – Required
• Availability per request - Required
• Stratum Med Cover Sheet in Word format
• Two references per Stratum process – Required
• Clean and easy-to-credential candidates – Highly Preferred

• Certification Requirements = ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
• LICENSE RESTRICTION: While an ALREADY ACTIVE Illinois license and active IL DEA and CSR are highly preferred, the group will consider those with the IMLC LOQ already in hand.
• SCHEDULE: As soon as credentialed and payer enrollment completed. Full time, every week, Monday-Friday, 8a-5p (Outpatient Clinic and GI Procedure Lab). Start time for MAC blocks is 7:30a. no call schedule, closed on holidays.
• TRAVEL: If candidates are within driving distance, round trip mileage and lodging will be the travel parameters approved, regardless of the means the locum chooses to travel. If candidate is out of driving distance range and needs flights, then please indicate that on the Stratum form.
• Number of Physicians in Department: 3 Gastroenterologists, 5 Colorectal Surgeons
• Patient Population Mix - 100% Adult, Geriatrics; Mixed Payer
• Average Number of Cases per day (patients, Inpatients, follow-ups, etc.): 40% Clinic w/ 30-minute consult intervals and 15–30-minute returns. 60% GI procedure lab w/ length of scheduled procedure based on average of last 30 cases. Sedation is procedure sedation or MAC based on criteria. Separate MAC blocks for patients that meet MAC criteria.
• Description of support staff: 6 full-time and 2 part-time Ambulatory APPs in clinic. RN and CMA/MA in clinic; RN and Surg tech in Procedures.
• Perm provider leaving resulting in significant shortage of Ambulatory and Endoscopy coverage.
• Outpatient Colonoscopy and EGD; GI Hospitalist will do inpatient procedures. ERCP and EUS skills would be great but not required
