Gastroenterology Locum Opportunity | 1–2 Days/Week | No Call | Massachusetts

Job description

Assignment Highlights:

Start Date: July/August 2025

Contract Length: 3–6 months

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts

Call: No weeknight or weekend call

Coverage Needed: 1–2 days/week

Clinical Setting:

Environment: Outpatient focus with occasional inpatient consults (covered by hospitalists)

Support Staff: Full OR and Anesthesia support

EMR: Athena & Meditech Expanse

Hospital Size: 134 beds

Patient Load:
 • OR: 12–15 procedures/day
 • Clinic: 15–20 visits/day
 • Adults only

Scope: Bread and butter GI; must be comfortable performing scopes. ERCP preferred, but not required

Split of Clinic vs. OR Time: TBD and flexible – to be discussed during interview

This is a procedure-heavy role ideal for a provider seeking a steady, part-time schedule in a well-supported, modern facility.
