We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Locum Physician specializing in Internal Medicine with a focus on Gastroenterology to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide inpatient care and be responsible for handling call coverage in the vibrant medical community of Festus, MO.

Responsibilities:
Inpatient Care: Provide comprehensive medical care for patients admitted to the inpatient setting, with a specialized focus on Gastroenterology within the Internal Medicine discipline.
Call Coverage: Assume responsibility for call coverage, ensuring timely and effective response to patient needs. Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide expert advice and guidance during on-call periods.
Patient Evaluation and Treatment: Conduct thorough evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with a variety of gastrointestinal conditions. Develop and implement effective treatment plans, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
Documentation: Utilize the Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. Ensure all documentation adheres to established medical standards and guidelines.
Collaboration: Work closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including nurses, specialists, and support staff, to deliver high-quality patient care. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and case conferences as needed.
Qualifications:
Medical Degree: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
Board Certification: Board certification in Internal Medicine with a subspecialty in Gastroenterology.
State Licensure: Current and unrestricted medical license in the state of Missouri.
