Locum Tenens Gastroenterologist Opportunity – Missouri

Are you a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity? We are currently recruiting for an inpatient-focused GI position in a well-established healthcare system in Missouri. Position Highlights:

Start Date: As soon as credentialed

Contract Length: 3 months with potential for ongoing extension

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 AM – 5 PM (No call required)

Setting: Inpatient consults and procedures in a modern endoscopy lab

Patient Volume: Approx. 7 patients per weekday, 10 on weekends

Patient Population: All ages – from pediatrics to geriatrics

Support Staff: Team includes 4 Physicians, 2 inpatient APPs, and 4 outpatient APPs

EMR: Epic

Responsibilities:

Perform GI procedures for inpatients

Conduct inpatient consults and follow-ups

Collaborate with APPs and hospital staff

Respond to ED consults during scheduled hours

Coverage includes two nearby hospitals (just 10 miles apart)

Requirements:

Board Certification in Gastroenterology

Active Missouri medical license (IMLC candidates must have MO license in hand)

Minimum of 2 years' experience

DEA license

Proficiency with Epic EMR
