Gastroenterology locum assignment – high pay & travel covered – Barelas, NM (Nov start)

Job description

Locum Gastroenterology assignment at a women’s hospital in Barelas, NM beginning in November. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00a–8:00p with beeper call. Responsibilities include clinic-based GI procedures, evaluations of emergency room referrals, and inpatient follow-up consultations. Required procedures include upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, variceal injection, foreign body removal, and bleeder fulguration), esophageal manometry interpretation, colonoscopy with biopsy and polypectomy, flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy, small bowel biopsy, EUS, liver biopsy, and management of Sengstaken‑Blakemore tubes. Preferred skills include diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP, PEG placement, and esophageal dilatation/manometry. Epic EMR. ACLS and BLS required; NM license preferred. Credentialing approximately 60–90 days. Full travel, housing, car rental, gas, baggage, tolls, and parking covered. A++ rated malpractice insurance with tail. Extra pay for weeknight and weekend calls. $500 referral bonus if your referral works 30 days.
