Gastroenterologist Needed in Rochester, NY | General GI | Permanent Preferred | Weekday Schedule

Job description

This is a gastroenterology opportunity at a 470-bed hospital in Rochester, New York, primarily at the main site with possible rotation to a second hospital about 15 minutes away. It is a permanent opportunity preferred, with a potential temp-to-perm option. The schedule is Monday-Friday, typically 7:30a-3:30p. Hospital call is included as a 24-hour call rotation shared daily among the group (rather than week-long stretches); permanent providers integrate into the call schedule, while temporary providers would likely not participate.

The physician provides general GI support for outpatient procedures, including colonoscopies and EGDs, with advanced procedural skills such as ERCP and EUS preferred but not required. Experienced providers are preferred, though the client is open to considering new fellows. Documentation is in Epic, and Epic experience is required.

Candidates should be Board Certified in Gastroenterology, with a New York license in hand, AHA or RQI certifications, no malpractice, and a work history with no gaps of 30 or more days.
