Gastroenterology Opportunity – Ohio
Start: March 2026

Assignment Dates:
Mar 22(4pm)-30(7am)
Apr 6(7am)-13(7am)
May 3(4pm)-4(7am)
June 15(7am)-22(7am)


Schedule:
• Day shift: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
• Night beeper call Monday–Friday
• 24-hour beeper call on weekends
• Full-time coverage needed; will consider physicians able to work a minimum of 7 consecutive days per month

Practice Setting:
• Hospital-based
• Level 1 hospital
• 434-bed facility
• Adult patient population
• EMR: Epic

Work Details:
• GI coverage for Level 1 hospital
• Patients per day: TBD

Special Procedures (ERCP & EUS Required):
• ERCP (150 performed in the past 2 years required)
• Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
• Esophageal, duodenal, or luminal stent placement (20 in past 2 years)
• Diagnostic and therapeutic EGD
• Colonoscopy with or without polypectomy (100 in past 2 years at initial appointment; 150 at reappointment)
• Argon plasma coagulation
• Nonvariceal hemostasis (upper and lower)
• PEG placement
• Esophageal dilation (balloon, bougie, or Savary)
• Foreign body removal and polypectomy
• Flexible sigmoidoscopy
• GI motility studies and 24-hour pH monitoring
• Enteral alimentation

Requirements:
• Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• Active Ohio license (willing to license!)
• DEA required
• ACLS required
• Moderate Sedation: completion of education packet and post-test (≥80% accuracy) required at initial appointment
• Minimum 1 year of experience

Credentialing:
• Temporary privileges available
