Job description
ERCP & EUS Required | Level I Trauma Center
Specialty: Gastroenterology
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Coverage Dates
April: April 6 (7:00 AM) – April 13 (7:00 AM), 2026
June: June 15 (7:00 AM) – June 22 (7:00 AM), 2026
Ongoing need for full-time coverage
Will consider physicians able to work a minimum of 7 consecutive days per month
Schedule & Call
Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Weekday Call: Night beeper call (Monday–Friday)
Weekend Call: 24-hour beeper call
Practice Setting: Hospital-based GI coverage at a Level I Trauma Center
Facility & Practice Details
Patient Population: Adult
EMR: EPIC
Required Procedures & Skills
Providers must be experienced and credentialed in the following:
ERCP – Required (minimum 150 performed in the past 2 years)
EUS – Required
Esophageal, duodenal, or luminal stent placement (20 in the past 2 years)
Diagnostic and therapeutic EGD
Colonoscopy with or without polypectomy
100 in the past 2 years at initial appointment
150 required at reappointment
Argon plasma coagulation
Nonvariceal hemostasis (upper and lower)
Esophageal dilation (balloon, bougie, or Savary)
PEG placement
Enteral alimentation
Flexible sigmoidoscopy
GI motility studies and 24-hour pH monitoring
Foreign body removal and polypectomy
Biopsy of esophagus, stomach, small bowel, and colon
Performance of history and physical exams
Requirements
Board Certification: BC or truly BE in Gastroenterology
License: Ohio license required
IMLC candidates preferred
DEA: Required
Certifications:
ACLS (current)
Moderate Sedation (education packet + post-test ≥80% required)
Minimum Experience: 1 year post-training
Credentialing
