URGENT Locum Gastroenterologist Needed in PA

Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for urgent locum 24-hour call coverage in PA. This is a hospital-based role with full support staff and the ability to grant emergency privileges in one week or less for qualified candidates.

📆 Assignment Dates (24-Hour Call):

August 13–14

August 20–24

August 27–28

Additional dates may be available through the 3-month contract

🕒 Schedule & Workload:

24-hour call (Monday–Sunday coverage model)

12 patients per day on average

Inpatient adult population (18+)

Procedures only for emergent situations (EUS/ERCP preferred, but not required)

🏥 Practice Setting & Support:

Full hospital support: RNs, NPs, anesthesia, and specialty backup available 24/7

📋 Requirements:

Board Certification in Gastroenterology

Active PA license (or IMLC – will consider licensing)

DEA required

BLS & ACLS certifications required

Emergency credentialing available in 7 days or less for clean files
