Job description

Aya Locums is seeking a Gastroenterologist for coverage in central Pennsylvania. This assignment offers a balanced schedule, inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, and the opportunity to work across multiple practice settings. With a supportive care team and a diverse patient mix, this is an excellent opportunity for gastroenterologists seeking a collaborative, well-structured assignment.

Assignment Details
• Dates needed: Nov 24 - Nov 29, Dec 23 – Jan 5
• Ongoing need: 7 days per month, including weekends, with day and night call
• Call schedule: 7a Mon – 7a following Mon OR 7a Fri – 7a following Fri (unless otherwise stated)
• Onsite schedule: Mon–Thurs 8a–5p, Fri 8a–12p
• Procedure hours: Mon–Thurs 7:30a–3:30p, Fri 7:30a–1p

Case Mix
• Gastroenterology – rounding on inpatients, consults, scoping (inpatient + outpatient)
• Office visits and follow-up care
• No ERCP or EUS required
• Adult patients (18+)

Practice Model
• Rotation between hospital, ambulatory center, and office
• Support staff: Medical Director, Office Supervisor, LPNs, MOAs, Surgery Schedulers
• EMR: EPIC; Endoscopy documentation: Lumens (within EPIC)

Requirements
• Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Pennsylvania medical license required (IMLC not accepted)
• DEA: Required (PA)
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Willing to license: No
