Job description
Schedule: 7a–4p shifts with evening call; callbacks require onsite return.
Commitment: Minimum 6-month blocks, with extension option
Shift: Standard 10-hour days, Monday–Friday; call coverage included
Practice Setting:
Hospital, outpatient clinic, and free-standing GI center
Level 1 Trauma Center
Patient population: 100% adults
Procedures:
Required: Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, esophageal dilatation/manometry, manometry interpretation, small bowel biopsy, lower GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy (with biopsy and excision of polyps)
Preferred: Advanced endoscopy including foreign body removal, variceal banding/injection, ERCP, EUS, liver biopsy, and Sengstaken/Blakemore tube management
Procedures: 8–12 daily (max 15 in past 4 months); mix of EGDs, colonoscopies, advanced endoscopy (if capable)
Requirements:
Board Certified in Gastroenterology
Active SC medical license (preferred)
Comfortable with required procedure list; advanced endo capability preferred
Commitment to 6-month block minimum
