Gastroenterology Locums – Tennessee | 24-Hour Call Coverage

Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist to provide locums coverage in Tennessee. This position offers 24-hour call coverage, flexible scheduling across two sister facilities, and opportunities for ongoing assignments throughout 2025.

Position Highlights

24-Hour Call Coverage: Round on patients in the morning, manage procedures throughout the day in the Main OR or Endo Suite.

Diverse Case Mix: GI bleeds, abdominal pain, food bolus, elevated liver enzymes, and more.

Ongoing Need: Multiple block dates available from January through December 2025 at two sister facilities.

Position Details

Coverage: 24-hour call (7a–7a), inpatient only

Schedule: Multiple blocks available throughout 2025

Facilities: Float between HVMC & BRMC

Patient Volume: ~8 patients/day

Support Staff: None

Setting: Level 3 Trauma Center | Endo Suite & Main OR

EMR: Epic

Requirements

Board Certification: Gastroenterology (required)

Licensure: Active TN license (willing to license, IMLC accepted)

Certifications: ERCP (required), BLS, DEA

Experience: Must have clean background

Vaccines: Exemptions accepted with proper documentation

Credentialing: ~90 days
