Job description

Start: ASAP (as soon as credentialed)
Length: 26 weeks / 6 months (open to extension)
Coverage: Outpatient GI clinic and endoscopy plus hospital rounding, admissions, and procedures
Schedule: 24-hour call/hospitalist shifts (weekday and weekend), or 8-9 hour day shifts in the ambulatory clinic/endoscopy setting. Day, night, and weekend coverage.
Call: Call required; call includes 4 hours gratis
Volume: Clinic approximately 16 patients per day; outpatient endoscopy center 14-16 per day; hospital census varies
Patient Population: Adults (18+)
Practice Setting: Outpatient clinic and hospital, 253 beds - both hospital and clinic privileges needed
Support: Other GI physicians as part of the practice

Full-scope gastroenterology procedures, including ERCP
Inpatient rounding and admissions
Outpatient evaluations, treatment planning, and follow-up
Timely documentation in Epic

Requirements
Board Certified in Gastroenterology
ACLS required
Active ERCP practice - at least 50 successful ERCP procedures within the past 2 years (or proctored)
Documentation of GI services representative of the scope and complexity of privileges within the past 24 months (waived if training was completed within the past year)
Washington license preferred - IMLC accepted; open to licensure
Epic charting required
Credentialing: standard credentialing approximately 90 days from application; temporary privileges up to 120 days; expedited/fast-track possible in some instances

Day, night, and weekend coverage
Call required
