Gastroenterologist Needed in Bellingham, WA | Day Shift | Rounding, Admissions & Procedures | Licensure Flexible

Job description

Start: ASAP (as soon as credentialed — listed start November 2, 2026)
Length: 13 weeks — requisition approved through January 14, 2027 (open to extension)
Coverage: Outpatient GI clinic and endoscopy plus hospital rounding, admissions, and procedures
Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, 8:00a–5:00p (typically varies when on call). Day and night, with weekend/evening/night coverage when on call.
Call: 24-hour call covering consulting, rounding, and inpatient/outpatient GI procedures. Call includes 4 hours gratis.
Volume: Clinic approximately 16 patients per day; outpatient endoscopy center 14–16 per day; hospital census varies
Patient Population: Adults (18+)
Practice Setting: Acute care hospital, 251 beds, Level II/III/IV trauma — both hospital and clinic privileges needed
Support: Working with another GI physician who is part of the practice
Inpatient and outpatient GI procedures
Inpatient consults, rounding, and admissions
Outpatient evaluations, treatment planning, and follow-up
Timely documentation in Epic

Requirements
Board Certified in Gastroenterology
Minimum 2 years of experience
Epic proficiency required
Washington license required — IMLC accepted; open to licensure (candidates without an active or pending WA license will be considered but must be WA licensed at start)
Additional certifications as required by the facility's MSO
