Surgery Nurse Practitioner Needed in Randallstown, MD

Specialty: APP-General Surgery (NP or PA)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: ongoing (will also consider locums to perm)
Shift Details: 7a-7:730pm
Schedule: 3 nights per week, typically sometime between Wed-Sat night, Prefer fully open, but will work with what they can offer

Work Details:
· Support staff: Other APPs on service, but in OR there will be RN's, Care Management and Gen Surg Residents
· Amount of coverage needed per month: 12-14 shifts per month (could use 2 people)
· Patients per day: 10-15
· Patient population/age: 18+yrs old
· Department description: if there’s a person in the ER going to the OR, they’ll get their patient information prepared. They have the OR doc’s numbers to call in if needed.
· EMR: Cerner
· Skills required: APP that is comfortable with surgical pathology that will be covering the patients admitted to the hospital overnight and doing any new consults coming in from the ER or inpatient. When not covering consults, they are responding to nursing calls, completing any night of surgery notes for patients that were admitted late in the day. Responding to any urgent codes on surgical patients. Must be comfy w/ basic skills like nose gauze and such and handle independently

Requirements:
· State license required: Yes, Maryland
· Board Certification: Required
· DEA: yes
· CSR: yes
· Certifications required: ACLS,
· Minimum experience required: 1 year with consult experience.
Credentialing Timeframe: up to 90 days
