Locum General Surgeon Needed in Bentonville, AR – Clinic + Call Coverage with OR Block Time

Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Arkansas is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Surgeon for locum tenens coverage. This opportunity offers a balanced combination of clinic and surgical work, along with night call responsibilities in a supportive, well-equipped hospital environment.

The typical schedule includes 4 days per week, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with beeper call coverage and occasional call-backs. Providers will be responsible for both outpatient and inpatient care, including admissions, and must obtain hospital/surgery center privileges. Temporary privileges are available for expedited start.

The ideal candidate will have experience in general surgical procedures, hold an active Arkansas license or qualify through IMLC, and be comfortable working independently in a Level 4 Trauma Center. Fellowship training is preferred but not required.

No APP supervision or teaching duties are required, allowing for focused clinical care and procedure time.
