Job description

Small, 25 bed rural facility (10k Population)
About 20 cases a month
Call on the weekends
15-18 days in the clinic MON-WED-FRI Surgery Days
Exact shift times, TBD

Provider on call when covering the ER

Clinic is shared with small OB clinic
2 OR nurses support each surgeon

Bread and butter cases

Surgical services are available on both an inpatient and outpatient bases, including most general surgical procedures, and laparoscopic surgery. For example, C-Section, hernia repairs, vasectomies, hysterectomies, appendectomies, gall bladder, etc. Not being a major trauma facility, surgical services not included are cardiovascular, brain, spinal, and orthopedic surgery. In the event of high-level trauma, the patient is stabilized and immediately transferred via Flight for Life or ground ambulance.

Day Case Unit: This unit is utilized for day surgeries not requiring overnight stay. Many day cases arrive early in the morning and released later in the evening depending on recovery status.

60-90 days to obtain privileges IF THEY have an active NM license
approximately 120 days if they DO NOT have an active NM license

• At least 2 weeks/month
• Will cover new NM license
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered
