General Surgeon needed in North Carolina

Start Date: June 9, 2025
Contract Length: 6 months
Schedule: Weekend Call Coverage (Thursdays 5:00 PM – Mondays 7:00 AM)

Position Details:
This facility is seeking a Board-Certified General Surgeon to provide weekend call coverage. This facility is not a Level I or II trauma center but has a fully equipped emergency department, including four major trauma rooms. Providers must hold an active state license, DEA, and be certified in BLS and ACLS.

Work Details:

Support Staff: On-site hospital team (details available upon request)

Coverage Needed: Call coverage from 5 PM Thursday to 7 AM Monday

Special Procedures & Skills: General Surgery procedures; must be comfortable handling emergency department consults

Credentialing Timeframe: 45–60 days

Requirements:

Board Certification in General Surgery

Active State Medical License and DEA

BLS and ACLS Certifications required
