Inpatient Setting: Yes
Call Requirement: Yes, 12-hour shifts (AM Trauma/PM Trauma), approximately 14-15 shifts per month
Rounding & Admissions: Both required
Patient Demographics: Level 3 Trauma at a tertiary hospital (approx. 25 miles away)
Average Patients per Day: Variable
Solo Practice: Yes, working in conjunction with anesthesia and the emergency department.
Licensing & Certification Requirements:
WA State License: Required
Certifications: Board Certified in General Surgery, ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support), and any additional certifications required by the MSO (Medical Staff Office)
EMR System: EPIC (Proficient user required)
Credentialing Information:
Standard Privileges: 1.5 years
Temporary Privileges: 120 days
Standard Credentialing: 90 days
Expedited Credentialing: Available (approximately 30 days with MSO approval, clean pre-application, and active state license)
