JOB DESCRIPTION

A facility in Anchorage, Alaska, has an opportunity for a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locum Hospitalist coverage.

About the Opportunity:

Flexible Schedule: 10-hour day or weekend shifts
Beeper call shifts required
Patient Volume: 3-5 new patients per day
Duties: Completing initial H&Ps, managing medical conditions, etc.
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
During your time off, take a scenic drive to spot glaciers, explore native culture at an interactive heritage center, and hike trails with breathtaking mountain and coastal views.

QUALIFICATIONS

Current DEA registration
Master's or Doctoral degree Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant from an accredited institution.
Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Alaska
Board certification
Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a hospital setting.
Strong proficiency in diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and ethical standards.
Be highly collaborative, and enjoy leading care teams with a patient-centric orientation
Confident in his/her ability to deliver high quality primary care, which includes being available to patients and addressing their medical and social needs
