NP Hospitalist – Locum Tenens – Tucson, AZ Area

Job description

A community-based health system in the Tucson, AZ area is seeking a Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist for a locum tenens assignment. Coverage spans a hospital-based hospitalist program serving a Trauma Level 3 facility.

Position Details:
- Practice Setting: Hospital-based hospitalist program (Trauma Level 3)
- Coverage: Provider must be willing to work all shifts – Admitter, Rounding, and Nights
- Shift Times: 7a-7p / 10a-10p / 7p-7a
- Patient Population: Adult inpatient hospitalist
- Support Staff: 5 PA/NPs on the hospitalist team
- Insurance: Provided by vendor

Requirements:
- Active AZ license required (no licensing reimbursement)
- Board Certification in Acute Care (NCCPA for PAs)
- BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Provider must reside within 90 miles of the facility
- Estimated credentialing timeframe: 120 days
- Fellowship preferred

Setting & Travel:
The Tucson metro area offers easy access to outdoor recreation, vibrant arts and dining, and a moderate climate. This assignment is best suited for clinicians within a 90-mile radius of the facility. No overtime rate for this assignment.
