Position Overview

Critical access hospital in Chillicothe, OH seeking Hospitalist APPs for ongoing nocturnist coverage. Providers must be comfortable with admissions, working stretches of shifts, and supervising internal medicine residents when needed.

Schedule & Coverage

Shift: Nights, 7p – 7a

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts

Minimum Commitment: At least 5–7 shifts per month

Dates Needing Coverage:

January 1–3

January 7–13

January 21–27

February 1–24

Practice Details

Responsibilities: Admissions only

Supervision: Physicians responsible for codes; Hospitalists supervise APPs and internal medicine residents

Procedures: Preferred, not required (intubations, central lines); at least 1 physician onsite will be procedure-capable

Rapid Response: Yes, though RRT is primarily run by the ED

Hospital Size: 36 ED beds, 12 ICU beds (closed ICU)

Average Census: ~150 patients daily

Average Admits: ~36/day

EMR: Epic

Requirements

License: Active Ohio license required

Board Certification: BC/BE

Experience: Hospitalist/night shift experience strongly preferred

Credentialing: ~90 days
