Hospitalist Needed in Clovis, CA | Day, Swing & Night Shifts | Closed ICU | No Call

Job description

This is an inpatient hospitalist opportunity at an acute care hospital in Clovis, California. The go-live is September 1, 2026, and providers with September availability are prioritized. There is no call, no procedures are required, credentialing runs approximately 60-90 days, and travel is covered.

The schedule offers 12-hour shifts across day, swing, and night. Day coverage includes rounders (7:00a-7:00p, seeing 13-14 patients seasonally) and an admitter (7:00a-7:00p); swing shifts run 1:00p-1:00a and 3:00p-3:00a; and night shifts run 7:00p-7:00a. Average day census is roughly 284, with about 40 admissions per day; swing handles 7-9 admissions, and the nocturnist manages a cross-cover census of 280-300 with 6-7 admissions per night. The admitting team completes admissions within one hour and responds to rapid responses, hospitalists respond to rapid responses on their own patients, and the ICU handles codes outside the ED. There is a strong emphasis on family meetings and communication, backed by strong specialty support, in a 24-bed closed ICU (with possible expansion). Documentation is in Epic.

Candidates should be Board Certified - or Board Eligible within five years of residency - with an active California license, at least two years of experience, and ACLS.
