Hospitalist Needed in Denver, CO | PRN Days & Nights | No Call | Closed ICU | No Procedures

Job description

Start: November 2, 2026 (ASAP, or as soon as credentialed)
Length: 13 weeks with an ongoing need of 6-8 months - PRN/per diem coverage only

Coverage: Adult inpatient hospitalist coverage - open shifts, days and nights available
Schedule: PRN; providers pick up open shifts throughout the assignment. Shift options: 7:00a-7:00p, 12:00p-12:00a, 5:00p-5:00a, and 7:00p-7:00a. The facility especially needs night shift coverage.
Call: No call

Volume: Round on approximately 15-16 patients per physician per day; overall census 65-70 daily; approximately 12-16 daily admissions
Staffing: 3-4 physicians staffed daily for day shifts, including site chief and assistant
Patient Population: Large mix, tertiary facility
Practice Setting: Acute care hospital, tertiary, approximately 425 beds, Level IV trauma - closed ICU
Support: All typical ancillary support staff available

Responsibilities:
- Round on assigned floors alongside nurses and facility staff
- Closed ICU - no ICU rounding
- No procedures or vent management required

Requirements:
- Experienced providers with inpatient hospitalist experience
- Active Colorado license required at time of submission (IMLC is not accepted)
- Credentialing timeline: minimum 90 days
- No emergency privileges
- Not open to candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility
- Orientation: 2-3 days of training/shadow shifts
