Hospitalist Locum need in Texas

Job description

Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting an experienced Hospitalist Physician to start October 1, 2025. The role offers a competitive market rate and benefits.

The Hospitalist role:
• Physician Day Shift (7a-7p) with Night Call
• The day physician covers off-site night call for onsite APP
• APP works nights
• Likely to be required supervision (...confirming)
• Average Day Census: 14-18
• Average Day Admits: 3-5
• Open ICU
• BC or BE in Internal Medicine
• BLS & ACLS required
• Codes: Required
• EMR: EPIC
• PROCEDURES REQUIRED***
• Central lines
• Intubations
• Light ventilator management
o (Note: Procedures are rarely performed, but credentialing is required.)
o The site has only one surgeon and CRNA on call. If they are in surgery, Hospitalist needs to be available. The procedures required are intubation and placing central lines. While both are done rarely by our Hospitalists, they are procedures that the hospital requires us to be able to perform. The ability to manage an uncomplicated vent patient is also required

Requirements:
• TX License
• Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine
• ACLS, BLS
