Inpatient Medical Oncologist – Locum Tenens
Start Date: September 26, 2025
Contract Length: 6 months (with option to extend or convert to perm – buyout required)
Employment Type: 1099 – Locum Tenens
Coverage Type: Inpatient + Call
Schedule & Shifts
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Call required: Evenings & weekends
24-hour call coverage rotation
Emergency privileges available for providers with clean files
Contract expected for 6 months, flexible extensions possible
Work Details
Inpatient hospital oncology coverage
Support: APPs available during the day (hematology & oncology support)
No APP support for call/weekends
Minimum 2 years of experience required
Average census: varies (inpatient hematology & oncology service)
Requirements
Board Certified – Medical Oncology
Active Minnesota license required (not open to licensing)
At least 2 years of experience post-training
Credentialing: ~90 days (licensed) / 120 days (non-licensed); emergency privileges possible for clean files
