North Carolina Hem/Onc Locums - Four-Day Week + IMLC Accepted

Job description

Aya Locums is working with a North Carolina Hematology/Oncology practice looking for ongoing physician coverage beginning in December.

This is an adult ambulatory Hem/Onc practice with a four-day weekday schedule - either Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The current need is expected to run for approximately 39 weeks.

The practice has a strong Hematology component, with approximately 60-65% of the current patient mix falling on the Hematology side and a particular focus on benign Hematology. Physicians should also be comfortable with bread-and-butter general Oncology. Current volume is approximately 15 patients per day and includes both new and follow-up patients, treatment management, orders, prescriptions and coordination with pharmacy and infusion services.

The physician will have established support that includes nursing, navigation, administrative staff, pharmacy, APPs, infusion support and other physician coverage, so this is not a solo practice environment. Epic is used for the EMR.

Some infrequent weeknight and weekend call coverage is included with the assignment.

Board certification in Hematology and/or Oncology is required, with dual certification preferred. Physicians who will be seeing Oncology patients should be Board Certified in Oncology.

An active North Carolina license can work, and the client will also consider physicians with an active IMLC Letter of Qualification and a clean background. We can help move the North Carolina licensing process forward for the right physician.
