Hospital-based coverage
Second call every third weekend
2 hours gratis
Practice Details
Hospital-based outpatient oncology clinic with a 13-chair infusion center
Mix of outpatient clinic and inpatient rounding
Approximately 15–20 outpatient visits per day
Primary physician caseload of ~8 patients/day
Approximately 2 inpatient rounding patients/day
EMR: Epic & Aria
Clinical Responsibilities
New patient consultations and follow-up visits
Independent inpatient rounding with APP support
Chemotherapy supervision and order management
Management of oncologic emergencies
Participation in multidisciplinary tumor boards
Treat a case mix of approximately 85% Oncology / 15% Hematology

Breast
Lung (NSCLC & SCLC)
Colorectal
Prostate
Pancreatic
Gynecologic
Head & Neck
Melanoma and other skin cancers
Support
Collaborative team of 3 Medical Oncologists and 2 APPs
Oncology Pharmacist
Nurse Navigator
Oncology RNs
On-site Radiation Oncology
13-chair Infusion Center
Palliative Care Team
Requirements
MD/DO
Board Certified in Medical Oncology
Active Wisconsin license or IMLC
BLS required
ONS Chemotherapy Certification required
Bone Marrow Biopsy certification required
1–3 years of Medical Oncology experience
Comfortable supervising APPs
