Job description

Schedule: Looking for one week of coverage per month starting ASAP. 7 days - Monday 8 am - Monday 8 am.
• Patients per day: 3 – 5
• Patient population/age: Adult
• Department description: Nephrology
• Skills required: For our transplant nephrology coverage, we would need a nephrologist who has either trained in transplant nephrology or has experience taking care of kidney transplant patients. Duties would involve taking call for 7 days - Monday 8 am - Monday 8 am. During in-patient call, they will consult on post-kidney transplant patients, write dialysis orders, manage kidney specific needs and also consult on liver patients that need nephrology input. Clinic coverage is necessary if the candidate is a transplant nephrologist – otherwise, we will simply use them for taking the M-M call. They will all receive phone calls from other physicians, ER's, outside hospitals to provide advice on immunosuppression management.
• Skills Preferred: Management of dialysis patients, Management of post-renal transplants, Renal Biopsy, Hemodialysis catheter placement, Peritoneal dialysis
