Neurosurgery APP Needed in CA

Location: Monterey, CA

Start: January
Shift Details: 5 x 8
Schedule: full time, 4 weeks/month

Work Details:
• Support staff: outpatient: surgery scheduler, MA, scribe. Inpatient work is more independent, working with surgeon directly
• Amount of coverage needed per month: full time, 4 weeks/mo, 5x8/week
• Patients per day: growing service line, in clinic usually 15-20 patients/day. 5-7 surgery/weeks
• Patient population/age: all adult
• Department description: Department sees both inpatient and outpatient neurosurgery patients including, pre, intra, and post op care
• EMR: epic
• Hospital bed size:
• Special procedures: remove drains, basic wound dressing, suture/staple removal
• Skills required:
Preferred surgical specialty and/or procedural experience in a complex and/or high acuity environment
Experience with neurosurgery inpatient or outpatient strongly preferred
Willing to consider other surgical service line experiences
Practice Setting:
• Inpatient/outpatient – hybrid; 70% outpatient, 30% inpatient
Requirements:
• Board Certification: For NPs: ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, ACNPC; For PAs: Master's in PA Studies
• License required: No for PA
• DEA: yes, CA with Schedule 2/2n
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS
• Minimum experience required: strongly prefer 3-5 years of experience in neurosurgery, at least 1 year required
