Neurosurgery Spine Locums Opening in San Francisco, CA

Job description

- Will license Physician Assistants -quick licensing
- Strong outpatient exp (expect about 20-25 people/day)
- Neuro spine, neuro surg, ortho spine, or pain management exp
- comfortable conducting consults independently
- academic medical center exp strongly preferred
- Special Procedures: Bread and butter outpatient surgery procedures like staple removal, drain removal, wound care. If the APP has a background in trigger point, hips, and/or knee injections that’s a plus and APP may be asked to do injections if they have experience. Not required
- Department description: sees only neurospine surgery patients, has both surgical and non surgical patients. Strictly clinic, no OR time, no inpatient, all outpatient. APP offers support to surgeons in clinic. Surgeons/fellows will do first visit and pre-op visits, APP will handle post-op and follow up appointments, take messages, order imaging, order medications, etc.
