Neurologist needed in the Bay Area, CA

Job description

County Hospital in Northern California is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurologist to provide ongoing locum coverage.

Contract Length: 6 months with potential for ongoing renewal. M-F 8-5, 2-3 days a week is okay.
Setting: Primarily outpatient general neurology
Average Patient Volume: 12 patients per day
Procedures: Lumbar punctures expected; EEG, EMG, Botox, and nerve blocks optional
Inpatient Rounding: Preferred but not required
Support Staff: 1–2 MAs/MSA and RN support for triage
EMR: Epic
Credentialing Timeline: 6–8 weeks
Licensing: Must already hold a California medical license
Qualifications
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurology
Minimum 2 years of Neurology experience
Comfortable with general neurology cases, including: Headaches, Epilepsy, Movement disorders, Memory disorders / aging-related conditions

Preferred:
Inpatient rounding experience
Neurodiagnostics skills (EEG experience; familiarity with Cadwell equipment a plus)
