Neurohospitalist Needed in Boise, ID | 100% Inpatient | Comprehensive Stroke Center | Fixed Week-Long Blocks
Job description
Start: September 2, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: 13 weeks across fixed week-long blocks — 09/02–09/08/2026, 10/14–10/20/2026, 11/11–11/17/2026, 12/09–12/15/2026, 01/06–01/12/2027, and 02/03–02/09/2027 (open to extension)
Coverage: 100% inpatient neurohospitalist care, including telestroke coverage and tPA decision-making, for stroke and general neurology patients at a Comprehensive Stroke Center
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00a–7:00p (12-hour shifts). Saturday–Sunday, 7:00a–3:00p (weekend shift as needed, usually an 8–10 hour day). Day, night, and weekend coverage.
Call: Provider takes call Saturday morning through Monday morning. Responsible for all stroke alerts 7:00a–7:00p Monday–Friday and covers stroke activations during the 07:00–19:00 shift. Saturday/Sunday overnight call is for inpatient and unclaimed ED only — no overnight stroke call (covered by the telestroke contract).
Volume: 4–17 patients per day
Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
Practice Setting: Acute care hospital, 378 beds, Level 1 Comprehensive Stroke Center — 18 Neuro/Trauma ICU beds and 17 Neuro step-down beds, with a full neurosciences team
Requirements
Board Certified in Neurology (board eligible considered, BC required)
Minimum 2 years of experience
Idaho license or IMLC required — open to licensure
DEA required
Idaho CSR required
Epic charting preferred
