Permanent Neuromuscular Neurology - EMG Focus in Michigan

Aya Locums is assisting an established neuroscience program in Michigan with the recruitment of a full-time permanent Neuromuscular Neurologist.

This is a subspecialty-focused practice centered on Neuromuscular Medicine and electrodiagnostics. The clinical focus includes neuropathy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and other neuromuscular disorders, with a smaller component of General Neurology.

The incoming Neurologist will join an established team that includes seven other neurologists, APP support and dedicated neurodiagnostic technicians. The schedule is Monday - Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and the practice performs approximately 13 EMGs per day. Epic is used for documentation.

A significant part of the role is electrodiagnostic medicine. Candidates must have formal EDX training through residency and/or fellowship with demonstrated competency performing and interpreting needle electromyography and nerve conduction studies. Ongoing continuing medical education in electrodiagnostic medicine is expected.

The position also includes a leadership role within the Neurodiagnostics / EMG Lab, making this a strong opportunity for a Neuromuscular Neurologist who enjoys both clinical practice and helping develop a diagnostic program.

Board Certified or Board Eligible candidates will be considered. Fellowship training in Neuromuscular Medicine or Clinical Neurophysiology with a Neuromuscular / EMG emphasis is required, along with completion of a Neurology or PM&R residency. An active Michigan medical license, DEA and BLS are required but we cah help with all of that if needed.

The anticipated start is December 2026 or as soon as credentialing can be completed, with credentialing expected to take approximately 60 - 90 days.
