NeuroHospitalist Needed in Kingsport, TN | Urgent Backfill | 3 Openings | 24-Hour Shifts | 13 Weeks

Job description

Start: November 2, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed) - urgent backfill
Length: 13 weeks (open to extension)
Coverage: NeuroHospitalist admitting and consult coverage across multiple hospital sites
Schedule: 24-hour shifts, 7:00a through 7:00a the following day; some hourly shifts available. Site variations include a 24-hour 8A-8A site (on site during the day, call at night, coming in if required), a 24-hour 7A-7A site (on site during the day, call at night), and a 12-hour 7A-7P site.
Call: Call required; overnight call at the 24-hour sites
Volume: Varies; provider must be comfortable with a fast pace and high volume
Patient Population: All ages
Practice Setting: Multiple acute care hospital sites

Admitting and consulting across the neurology service. EEG reading required at all locations - continuous and routine electroencephalograms. Timely documentation in Epic.

Requirements
- Board Certified in Neurology and Board Certified as a NeuroHospitalist
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- EEG reading proficiency required - continuous and routine
- Tennessee license required, or IMLC accepted - must be in place before any dates are booked
- Tennessee DEA required
- Epic proficiency required - the facility will not provide training
- COVID-19 and flu vaccinations mandatory
- Clean background and NPI/name clear required
- Credentialing timeline: approximately 60-90 days
