Position Summary

The CRNA is responsible for administering anesthesia and providing related care before, during, and after surgical procedures in the outpatient surgery center setting. Working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals, the CRNA ensures patient safety, comfort, and optimal surgical outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Anesthesia Administration: Administer various types of anesthesia, including general, regional, and local anesthesia, according to patient needs and surgical requirements.
Preoperative Assessment: Conduct thorough preoperative assessments of patients, reviewing medical history, medications, and any relevant diagnostic test results to determine the appropriate anesthesia plan.
Patient Monitoring: Monitor patients throughout the perioperative period, including anesthesia induction, maintenance, and emergence, to ensure vital signs stability and respond promptly to any complications.
Collaboration: Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of anesthesia care provided, including medication administration, vital signs, and any intraoperative events or complications.
Patient Education: Provide preoperative and postoperative education to patients and their families regarding anesthesia, pain management, and postoperative care instructions.
Qualifications:

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with certification as a Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
Graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Commitment to maintaining professional competence through continuing education and professional development activities.
