About the clinician's workday

The number of new consults per day, including ER and inpatient consults, ranges from 2 to 6. The number of calls per day is typically between 5 and 15. They handle general ENT cases seven days a week and facial trauma cases two days a week. Facial trauma cases include midface and upper face bony trauma (excluding mandibles) and soft tissue facial trauma. The facility has in-house anesthesia, and ENT cases are scheduled on a case-by-case basis. However, there is usually OR time available during the day on most days.
