PM&R Physician Needed in Houston, TX | Brain/TBI Rehab | 7 On/7 Off | No Call | 2 Openings

Job description

Start: September 14, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: 13 weeks; full-time 1-year contract available
Coverage: Inpatient rehabilitation, Brain/TBI service
Schedule: 7 on / 7 off; 8-12 hour shifts, mostly 12s depending on census; 7:00a-7:00a
Call: No call - hospitalists cover nights
Volume: 8-14 patients per day
Patient Population: Pediatrics and adults - a physician with pediatric rehabilitation expertise is especially needed
Practice Setting: Inpatient rehabilitation facility (teaching facility)

Support: 2 APPs covering the units. Inpatient rehabilitation evaluations, treatment planning, and daily management with a Brain/TBI focus. No required procedures. Optional teaching of residents and fellows for locums interested in academic involvement. Part-time schedules will be considered. 2 open positions.

Requirements
- Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
- Fellowship preferred, not required
- Active Texas license required
- Active Texas DEA required
- ACLS and PALS required
- Comfortable treating both pediatric and adult rehabilitation patients
