Advanced Practitioners - Psychiatry
Job Details:
- Outpatient Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner role serving both Norwich and Willimantic locations
- Schedule: Monday - Wednesday 8:00am - 4:30pm at primary hospital location; Thursday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm at secondary hospital location
- Evaluate and manage psychiatric disorders across an outpatient setting
- Coordinate appropriate follow-up care, referrals, and case management
- Perform crisis intervention and medication management
- Develop and implement long and short-range treatment plans
- Order and perform diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures, providing patient notification and follow-up care
- Solicit medical management consults or input when appropriate
- Complete all clinical reminders to keep each patient up to date in the system
- Work in collaborative practice with a Psychiatrist
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Master's program required
- Must be licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut
- National Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner required
- Preferred 1+ years of experience working as an outpatient psychiatric nurse practitioner
- Access to an internal Office of Advanced Practice committed to the growth and development of Advanced Practitioners
