Opportunity:
Advanced Practitioners - Psychiatry
Job Details:
- Evaluate and manage psychiatric disorders in an outpatient behavioral health setting serving adult populations
- Coordinate appropriate follow-up care, referrals, and case management
- Perform crisis intervention and medication management
- Develop and implement long and short-range treatment plans
- Order and perform diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures, and provide patient notification and follow-up care
- Solicit medical management consult or input when appropriate
- Complete all clinical reminders to keep each patient up to date in the system
- Work in collaborative practice with a Psychiatrist
- Telepsychiatry opportunities available when clinically appropriate
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Master's program preferred
- Must be licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut
- Certification or eligible to be certified as a Physician Assistant or National Board Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse through AACN or ANCC required
- Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Board Certification preferred
