Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) – Geriatric Psychiatry

Location: Massachusetts

Schedule: 30 hours per week
Assignment Duration: 5 months
Setting: Outpatient Services at Geriatric Nursing Facilities
EMR System: CareLogic

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide outpatient psychiatric services at nursing home facilities in Central Massachusetts. This is a 30-hour/week temporary assignment with an expected duration of 5 months.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide medication management and (potentially) therapy services

Collaborate with Directors of Nursing (DONs), Social Workers, and Medical Doctors (MDs)

Work in coordination with CHL team members and participate in monthly staff meetings

Maintain timely documentation using CareLogic EMR

Manage a patient panel of approximately 150 clients per week (4–5 per hour)

Qualifications:

Active Massachusetts NP or PA license

Current DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration (CSR)

Experience in Geriatric Psychiatry strongly preferred

Familiarity with outpatient psychiatric care in skilled nursing or similar facilities

Local candidates highly preferred
