As an Adult Psychiatrist, you'll work with complex mental health cases and play an active role in forensic assessments, multidisciplinary team care, and the use of advanced pharmacologic treatments.

✅ Key Responsibilities
✔️ Manage treatment-resistant schizophrenia using clozapine, including ANC monitoring and titration protocols
✔️ Treat severe mood disorders (bipolar, major depression) in outpatient and acute care settings
✔️ Lead biweekly multidisciplinary meetings to coordinate care for high utilizers of psychiatric emergency services
✔️ Conduct capacity evaluations under California Welfare & Institutions Code 5150/5250 for gravely disabled patients
✔️ Administer long-acting injectables (e.g., aripiprazole monthly, paliperidone palmitate) for patients with medication non-adherence
✔️ Provide forensic support including LPS Act evaluations and conservatorship hearing testimony

✅ What We’re Looking For
✔️ Active California Medical License (in good standing)
✔️ ABPN Certification in General Psychiatry (or Board Eligible)
✔️ DEA Certification, including eligibility to prescribe antipsychotics and LAIs

✅ Schedule Options
Full-Time (FTE)
✔️ 8-hour day shifts

Part-Time (PTE)
✔️ 6-hour shifts (e.g., 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., excluding breaks)
