Locum-NP/PA-Neonatology New York Weekend Need 12/24's Offering $130/Hour

Job description

Practice Setting:
Level III NICU | 16-bed unit
Coverage needed due to staff LOA and decreased availability
Average patient census: 8–9/day
Average admissions: 0–2/shift
Support staff: RNs and ancillary staff, neonatologist present during the day and on call 24/7

Shift/Schedule:
Seeking reliable weekend coverage
12- and/or 24-hour shifts available
Long-term/ongoing coverage

Responsibilities:
Supervision of RNs and ancillary staff (no NNP supervision)
Attendance at C-sections
Coverage of Level I (Well-Baby) Nursery during night shifts
No transport responsibilities (regional Level IV center handles transfers, 5 minutes away)

Procedures Required:
Ventilation management (invasive ETT, non-invasive BiPAP/CPAP)
Chest tube insertion
Exchange transfusions
UAC/UVC placement
Lumbar punctures
Central and arterial line insertion
Diagnostic/Therapeutic taps
Acute volume/BP management

Practice Environment:
Collaborative team of 3 neonatologists, 6 pediatric mid-levels (+1 per diem)
EMR: Epic
Travel & lodging reimbursed (flight, hotel, rental car)

Requirements:
Board Certified in Neonatology or experienced NICU PA
Active New York License (required)
Comfortable managing patients independently
