Part-Time Psychiatrist – Correctional Facility | Arizona

We are seeking a part-time Psychiatrist to support mental health services at a correctional facility in AZ. This is a 13-week initial assignment with the potential for extension, offering a flexible and meaningful opportunity in a unique clinical setting.

Position Details:

Location: Arizona

Schedule: 20 hours per week (typically two 10-hour days; flexible scheduling available)

Compensation: Up to $210/hr, plus travel and lodging covered

Duration: 13-week contract with potential to extend

Responsibilities:

Conduct psychiatric evaluations and medication management

Provide crisis intervention and ongoing care for incarcerated individuals

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care

Maintain compliance with facility security protocols and documentation standards

Qualifications:

Active and unrestricted MD or DO license

Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry

Experience in correctional or forensic psychiatry is preferred, but not required

Ability to work effectively within a correctional environment and demonstrate cultural competence
