Addiction Psychiatrist Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Addiction Psychiatrist to join our team in the Concord, California office. The ideal candidate will have experience in diagnosing and treating individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. This role involves providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations of patients with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management, therapy, and other interventions.
Provide ongoing psychiatric care and monitor patient progress.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including therapists, counselors, and medical staff.
Participate in case conferences and provide clinical supervision as needed.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
Stay current with the latest research and advancements in addiction psychiatry.
Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of psychiatric practice.
Qualifications:
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Completion of an accredited psychiatric residency program.
Board certification in psychiatry.
Subspecialty certification in addiction psychiatry is preferred.
Valid medical license to practice in California.
Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
Strong clinical skills in psychiatric evaluation and treatment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
