Job description

📍 Location: Oakland, CA (Hybrid – Remote except 1st Tuesdays each month for in-person meetings/trainings)
🕒 Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM–5:00 PM | Full-Time, 40 hrs/week
📅 Assignment: 6 months – potential for long-term or permanent hire
👤 Local candidates only

Position Overview:

Focus on Utilization Management for Adult Psychiatry cases
Serve as Primary Reviewer 3 days/week with backup coverage as needed
Conduct Peer-to-Peer hospital reviews for case disagreements
Oversee UM function reviews, trend monitoring, and network adequacy
Provide clinical training on Medi-Cal medical necessity, case studies & interrater reliability
EHR: Clinician’s Gateway – must be computer-literate
